For those days when you don't want
to go through the motions of applying a thick foundation, I highly recommend a
tinted moisturizer. One of my everyday favorites is the Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer. It
provides a sheer cover, without being too heavy and tacky. Benefits to this
moisturizer include sun protection with an SPF 20 UVA/UVB coverage, which is
great for sunny climates, and it won't "melt" off of your face like
other foundations. It is also less likely to cause acne flare ups due to the
lightweight coverage it provides, and it also hydrates the skin while you are
wearing it, it's almost like killing two birds with one stone! It contains
vitamins C and E, to help protect your skin against the harmful effects of the
environment, such as pollutants in the air, dirt and dust particles, and
obviously damaging UV light. This moisturizer is extremely long wearing, even
in the hottest conditions, and is also natural looking, unlike certain
foundations which cause your face to seem "cakey." It is definitely
something that I will continue buying, not only because it is a great product
to use, but also for the sun protection and moisture it provides my skin with.
Look for this product in future make up tutorials that I do if you wish to see
how it looks on me, or if you want to try it for yourself, you can click the
link above. It is available in regular sizes and trial sizes at Sephora so you don't
have to fully commit if you don't want to.
